Full Description
April 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of an undated linear feature, which may represent a boundary ditch of some sort, are visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3), from TG 2874 0590 to TG 2868 0539. It appears to be on the very edge of a change in the underlying superficial geology, from sand and gravel to chalk, and may therefore represent a geological, rather than archaeological, feature.
The feature is visible on three separate photographs, as a northern section (S3), a central section (S2) and southern section (S1), and it is possible that these features are not related, or that they simply demonstrate a change in the underlying geology.
E. Bales (NMP), 9 April 2009.
