Summary

Metal-detecting before August 2009 and between 2010 and 2013 recovered late prehistoric and Neolithic flint flakes; two hoards of Roman coins; additional Iron Age and Roman coins; Roman pottery sherds and a fragment of pale green glass and Roman, Early Saxon, post-medieval and undatable metal objects. The metal objects include an Iron Age brooch; Roman brooches, a cosmetic implement, a fragment of bracelet, key handle, pendant finger ring and possible votive ring; a Roman/Early Saxon fragment of a buckle and an unidentifiable object; an Early Saxon sleeve-clasp and burnt brooch; a post-medieval crotal bell fragment and undatable molten lead and lead scrap.

The Roman silver finger ring was submitted as potential Treasure (Treasure case 2009 T516). The coin hoard was also eventually submitted as potential Treasure, along with a number of additional coins recovered in subsequent months - see below.

50 Roman coins (49 copper alloy and 1 silver), all probably additional to the hoard first discovered in August 2009.
These were submitted as potential Treasure along with the original group of coins and a third batch of coins that was recovered in July 2010 - see below.

The Roman hoard coins were submitted as potential Treasure along with the two previously discovered batches - see below.

The Roman coin hoard reported in three batches between August 2009 and July 2010 was submitted as potential Treasure (all covered by Treasure case 2010 T591) and subsequently declared Treasure at inquest. Norwich Castle Museum had hoped to acquire the hoard but withdrew.

Roman coin hoard of 2 silver denarii plus 21 Roman coins (3 silver and 18 copper alloy) probably additional to hoard first discovered in August 2009.

Both groups of coins were submitted as potential Treasure (the coins from the 2009 hoard as Treasure case 2013 T681 and the small hoard of 2 denarii as 2014 T516).
