Summary

In October 2009 an archaeological excavation revealed two post-medieval pits containing ceramic building material, post-medieval brick fragment and roof tile; post-medieval iron nails; prehistoric worked flint and two pieces of burnt flint.

Evaluation of proposed development site.
Two post-medieval pits were revaled during excavation containing ceramic building material, post-medieval brick fragment and roof tile; post-medieval iron nails; prehistoric worked flint and two pieces of burnt flint. It is possible that the pits were used for sand extraction.
