Summary

Undated linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The features are faint and ephemeral, and in fact may relate to underlying geological features rather than archaeology. They do however appear to be on a similar alignment to the possible Roman period linear features 354m to the north (NHER 52362), and may perhaps relate to land division or field boundaries of the Roman period. There are also a number of Neolithic flint finds from the area (NHER 19141, 19553, 19561, 7758), which may suggest earlier activity on the site.
