Map

October 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A series of undated banks and ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1), centred on TG 1623 1723. Two linear ditches, each measuring 23m by 2.2m are visible, with an earthwork bank measuring 3.7m in width between them, and two further earthwork banks, one outside each ditch.
A fourth earthwork bank is visible 42m to the east; this appears to be related to those described above as it is on the same roughly north-south alignment. It also appears to be a continuation of the field boundary visible on the Felthorpe Tithe Map (S2). These features may therefore be related to medieval to post medieval land division.
E. Bales (NMP), October 2009.
