Full Description
November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
An elongated oval mound or barrow is visible as a possible earthwork on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2) through the trees of a young plantation, centred on TG 1533 1757. It is really only visible as a patch of different vegetation, and by no means secure, but has been mapped due to its potential significance.
The barrow measures approximately 30m east to west, and 14m in diameter, and is considerably larger, as well as being located approximately 50m to the south-west of, the long barrow recorded as NHER 7763, and has therefore been recorded separately, but it is possible that these two records in fact relate to the same earthwork.
E. Bales (NMP), November 2009.
