Map

November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
A possible double concentric curvilinear enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), centred on TG 1872 1987, on land to the west of Park Farm, Stratton Strawless.
The outer possible enclosure or ring ditch measures 30m on its northeast to southwest axis, but it is not possible to see the full extent of this outer ditch, as it is masked in places, and the breaks that are visible on the south-western side are due to a modern trackway. The inner possible ditch measures 21m by 18m externally, although the fact that it appears to join the outer ditch throws the nature of the feature into question, as it may relate to modern vehicle tracks rather than archaeological activity. Its proximity to a field entrance may also imply that the feature is modern in origin.
The fact that it is only visible on one set of photographs makes it difficult to be certain.
E. Bales (NMP), November 2009.
