Summary

Part of a possible ring ditch is visible as a grassmark on aerial photographs, on land to the east of Pinewood farm, Felthorpe. The approximate external diameter of the ring ditch is at least 15m, although only just over half of a circle is visible in plan. It may relate to a Bronze Age round barrow, or possibly a late Iron Age to Roman period round house. The fact that it is only partially visible, though, and that it is not showing on any other photographs of the area, suggests that it may in fact be a fungus mark in the grass, rather than an archaeological feature. It has therefore been mapped with a note of caution.
