Summary

Metal-detecting between 2009 and 2023 recovered a Late Prehistoric flint flake; probable Middle Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; Roman and medieval coins and a range of other, Late Bronze Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Bronze Age socketed spearhead fragment; a Roman brooch; a medieval brooch pin, horse-harness pendant, lead pot mends and lead weight and a medieval/post-medieval chafing dish handle and copper alloy ring.
