Summary

Several pottery sherds and animal bone fragments were found in the garden of the Headmaster's house during construction of a drain in 1958. The pottery has been identified as Late Saxon and medieval, including Thetford ware storage jars.

Late Saxon and medieval pottery and animal bones (sheep and ox) fragments were found in the garden of the Headmaster's house during construction of drain. The Late Saxon pottery includes large Thetford ware storage jars.
