Summary

A fieldwalking survey between 2002 and 2003 recovered worked flint including scrapers, flakes and one blade. Three fragments of post-medieval ceramic building material and three pieces of slag were also found. Metal detecting between 2002 and 2017 recovered a medieval rotary key, post-medieval finger-ring and a possible button. The field is marked as 'Church Field' on the tithe map, which could indicate a church once stood in this location or that the field belonged to a church.

A large discrete anomaly was detected by the geophysical survey but the origin or nature of this feature is not known. The metal detecting survey located five fragments of metal including a possible post-medieval button (S1).
