Map

February 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several linear ditches and pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1), on land to the south of the Norwich to Brandon railway line, Quidenham, centred on TM 0014 8826.
It is possible that some if not all of the linear ditches represent drainage features running into a field drain to the west. However, it is also possible that they represent field boundary ditches or land division from the medieval to post medieval period.
The large (up to 23m by 12m) possible pit features may in fact be natural rather than archaeological in origin.
E. Bales (NMP), 10 February 2010.
