Map

February 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Undated linear soilmarks, possibly medieval to post medieval field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2) on land to the east of Rockland Lane, Little Ellingham.
The features are centred on TM 0007 9856, and they consist of a broad and blurred soilmark of a ditch stretching from TM 0008 9863 to TM 0013 9824, which is on the same north northwest-south southeast orientation as a second, shorter ditch located 40m to the west. The western-most of these ditches coincides with a field boundary visible on the tithe map of the area (S3), and the eastern-most ditch coincides largely with one or more boundaries. It is therefore likely that all the features are medieval to post medieval field boundaries.
E. Bales (NMP), 15 February 2010.
