Map

February 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A possible former mound is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the east of Swangey Lane, Great Ellingham.
The possible ploughed out mound is sub-circular in plan, and measures approximately 11m by 17m. It is centred on TM 0075 9539.
It is possible that it represents a ploughed-out Bronze Age round barrow, although the feature is only visible on one set of photographs, and does not appear to exhibit an external ring ditch, therefore this interpretation is hypothetical.
E. Bales (NMP), 12 February 2010.
