Map

November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The vegetation marks of possible ditch fragments, probably representing the fragments of former field boundaries of unknown date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The site is centred on TG 2976 0380 and overlooks a minor watercourse, the Beck, to the south.
These possible ditches are visible as a vegetation marks in an area of pasture during the hot and dry conditions of the summer of 1976 (S1). Some caution may need to be applied to this identification, as other causes, such as vehicle and/or animal movement across the field could represent a cause for these vegetation marks. A ring ditch also located within the area of this site (NHER 52390) has been interpreted as a Bronze Age round barrow by analogy with another nearby barrow and it is therefore also possible that these vegetation marks are archaeological in origin.
S. Horlock (NMP), 03 November 2009.
