Summary

The cropmarks of fragmentary ditches, probably representing the remains of former field boundaries of unknown date, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Avenue Farm, Alpington. Bronze Age, Roman and medieval to post medieval date objects have been found within the general vicinity of the site (NHER 10328, 22975 & 40683), although there is no direct relationship between the finds and the cropmarks.

The cropmarks of fragmentary ditches, probably representing the remains of former field boundaries of unknown date, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Avenue Farm, Alpington (S1). The site is centred on TG 2982 0210. Bronze Age, Roman and medieval to post medieval date objects have been found within the general vicinity of the site (NHER 10328, 22975 & 40683), although there is no direct relationship between the finds and the cropmarks.
