Map

November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
An earthwork bank, demarcating the parish boundary between Framingham Pigot and Framingham Earl, and associated bank and ditch boundaries are visible on aerial photographs within Framingham Earl Park (S1-S2). The parish boundary bank is likely to be medieval in origin. It is possible that the associated boundaries are also of this date, although a post medieval date is equally feasible. All of the earthworks lie within the parkland associated with Framingham Earl Hall (NHER 9910) and it is assumed that all of the earthworks predate the present hall landscape.
The main component of the site consists of an earthwork bank, approximately 3m wide, running from TG 2732 0317 to TG 2742 0323 (S1-S2). This bank is flanked by a ditch to either side, the southern ditch being the most substantial, up to 2m wide. More recent aerial photography would suggest that the bank has since been plough-levelled.
