A small group of military buildings associated with Stoke Holy Cross radar station (NHER 14227) is visible on aerial photographs within Long Plantation to the south of Stoke Road (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 2588 0226. It seems likely that these represent accommodation for those manning the radar station to the north. A larger camp (NHER 52470) is located approximately 1km to the northeast within Forty Acre Plantation.
The site consists of seven structures, the majority of which measure 18m by 7m. One structure is larger and T-shaped with possible roof vents or chimneys apparent on the top of the structure.
