Map

December 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The site of a former possible World War Two military building or structure and a trench (S1). The site is centred on TG 2661 0307. A series of parchmarks and lines of disturbance within the grass are visible, which could feasibly relate to a former structure or structures that have been removed within the relatively recent past. An elongated rectangular pit or trench is visible, with slight banks of upcast material either side. It is feasible that all of these features relate to activity and/or temporary structures relating to military activity during World War Two, although an agricultural origin for both components of the site cannot be rule out.
S. Horlock (NMP), 29 December 2009.

February 2013. Geophysical Survey.
A detailed magnetometer survey was carried out over this area prior to proposed residential development.
No anomalies of archaeological origin were identified.
See report (S2) and NHER 60670 for further details of this survey.
H. Hamilton (HES), 23 March 2015.
