Full Description
November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of fragmentary ditches, representing the remains of field boundaries of unknown and multi-period date, are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Well Beck Farm, Brooke (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 2859 0060. Prehistoric, Neolithic, Iron Age and late Saxon, finds have been recovered from the general vicinity of the site (NHER 31654), although there is no direct relationship between the finds and the cropmarks. Additional cropmarks visible on the aerial photographs (S1-S3) likely to relate to post medieval field boundaries were omitted from the mapping.
S. Horlock (NMP), 03 November 2009.
