Summary

The cropmarks of two ditches, which are likely to be former field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs. The date of the ditches is uncertain. Finds in the area include prehistoric, Bronze Age, Roman, Saxon, medieval and post medieval material (NHER 44092-3, 49085 & 50483) and some of these may relate to activity associated with the cropmarks. It is possible that at least one of the ditches is medieval to early post medieval in date, as there appears to have been considered later post medieval boundary change in this area, see NHER 17347 for details.
