Summary

The cropmarks of rectangular enclosure of probable medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Caistor Lane, Caistor St Edmund. The rectangular enclosure is likely to represent the remains of a small stock enclosure or animal pen, which sat alongside a medieval to post medieval field boundary.

The cropmarks of rectangular enclosure of probable medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Caistor Lane, Caistor St Edmund (S1). The site is centred on TG 2409 0355. The rectangular enclosure, which measures 18m by 11m, is likely to represent the remains of a small stock enclosure or animal pen, which sat alongside a medieval to post medieval field boundary.
