Summary

Metal-detecting between 2010 and 2016 recovered a medieval pottery sherd; Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token and jettons and Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal objects include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; a Roman toilet implement, tweezers, bracelet and brooches; a Roman/Early Saxon military buckle plate and strap-end; an Early Saxon brooch and girdle hanger; Middle to Late Saxon strap-ends and a hooked tag; a Late Saxon disc brooch, strap-ends and stirrup-terminal; a Late Saxon/medieval strap-end; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead weight; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval seal matrix and gilt decorative strip from a knife-dagger or casket; a medieval/post-medieval hinge plate from a piece of furniture, copper-alloy rings and a sword chape and a post-medieval pendent leaf from a sword belt hanger, a crotal bell and harness mounts.
