Map

May 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A probable World War Two ARP warden’s post is visible as an extant structure or building on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3), centred at TG 2016 0866. A post – Post J5 - is recorded in a bibliographic source (Banger 2003, (S4)) as having been located on Gypsy Lane by Bowthorpe Road. Two small rectangular structures are visible, the larger of which is similar to other known or probable ARP posts recorded elsewhere in Norwich. The function of the smaller structure is unclear, but it is almost certainly related.
Later aerial photographs (S5) demonstrate that the post had been removed by 1951.
