Summary

An area of at least 8 underground industrial shelters with earthwork mounds are visible as structures on aerial photographs, surviving until 1952, between two industrial buildings to the north of Mile Cross Lane.

An area of at least 8 underground industrial shelters with earthwork mounds are visible as structures on aerial photographs (S1-S4), surviving until 1952, within an area centred on TG 2236 1178, between two industrial buildings to the north of Mile Cross Lane. It is difficult to be certain of the sizes of the individual shelters, but the earthwork mounds vary in size up to approximately 14m by 15m.
