Map

March 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a possible ring ditch, potentially represent the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Harford Farm, Caistor St Edmunds (S1). The possible ring ditch is centred on TG 2247 0472 and is 15m in diameter, although some uncertainty remains over the archaeological nature of the feature and it is feasible that the cropmarks relate to underlying geology. The ring ditch is located on the lower slopes of the Rivers Yare valley and large numbers of barrows have been recorded within this area, such as the Harford Farm group to the south (NHER 52280).
S. Horlock (NMP), 23 March 2009.
