Full Description
2008 - 2009. Breckland warrens field survey.
The earliest date for the warren is 1775. The eastern boundary is low well-defined bank and where it abuts Sturston Warren there are two parallel banks. There are also banks visible on the northern boundary and in the north-western corner of the warren are possible trapping banks. The main lodge dates to 1780. There is no archival evidence giving a medieval date for the warren has been located but by 1775 the warren was owned by Lord Walsingham. The land is currently owned by the Ministry of Defence.
