Monitoring of groundworks associated with creation of new pathway through the grounds of SS Peter and Paul Church.
During a watching brief in April 2010 an inhumation of a jevenile or small adult was recovered during the excavation of a new footpath at the church. A number of finds were also recovered including ceramic building material, post-medieval tile, a small cast iron trough, sherds of greyware (?Roman) and glazed red earthenware (post-medieval) pottery, a small lead escutcheon and a George III silver sixpence c. 1816.
