Map

April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Three possible World War Two surface shelters are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) on the corner of Silver Road and Crome Road, Norwich. They are centred on TG 2356 1010, measure up to 12m by 4m, and would appear to be intended for public use, being situated on what appears to be a section of waste ground. A circular emergency water tank is also visible in the vicinity (NHER 53537), although not on the 1942 photographs. The ground to the northeast of the shelters is visible as slightly disturbed in places (S1-S2), and may represent possible practice trenches, although this is difficult to be certain of.
