Summary

A rectangular structure, which may represent an above ground air raid shelter, or may perhaps be a camouflaged pillbox, recorded previously as NHER 32542, is visible, along with a row of seven concrete anti-tank blocks, on aerial photographs just to the north of the junction of North Walsham Road with Allen’s Avenue, Sprowston.

A rectangular structure, which may represent an above ground air raid shelter, or may perhaps be a camouflaged pillbox, recorded previously as NHER 32542, is visible, along with a row of seven concrete anti-tank blocks, on aerial photographs (S1) just to the north of the junction of North Walsham Road with Allen’s Avenue, Sprowston, at TG 2392 1186. These structures are situated approximately 210m to the south of the line of Norwich’s anti-tank ditch defence (NHER 51893).
