An area of three World War Two underground air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) in the playground of Hellesdon Secondary School, Hellesdon. They are centred on TG 2123 1275, and each entrance measures approximately 5.4m by 2.7m with an earthwork bank to the southwestern side. They have been filled in by 1946 (S3).
