Full Description
April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
At least six World War Two bomb craters are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2), on land within Mousehold Heath, Norwich, centred on TG 2437 1039.
Two areas of disturbed ground are also visible, centred on TG 2423 1055 and TG 2453 1055, which may be related to defensive slit trench digging, but could also be the result of further bomb craters.
E. Bales (NMP), April 2010.
February 2012. Field visit.
One of the bomb craters (approximately at TG 2415 1023) appears to survive as an earthwork.
D. Robertson (HES), 11 May 2012.
