Summary

A small rectangular structure which may represent the site of a World War Two ARP post is visible on aerial photographs on Bracey Avenue, off North Walsham Road, Norwich. The structure may also have fulfilled a function as an air raid shelter, although it is not as large or substantial in appearance as the above ground shelters in the vicinity (NHER 53525). It is almost exactly the same size as another possible ARP post 1km to the south (NHER 53586), and it exhibits a possible concrete blast wall to its western end, which is a feature of ARP posts elsewhere in Norwich (NHER 53573, 53578, 53585, 53586).
