Summary

Several ?prehistoric burnt flint 'pot boilers' were found near the edge of this field in 1984. Metal-detecting before May 2010 recovered Romano-British, Early Saxon, Late Saxon/medieval, medieval and post-medieval metal finds, including a Romano-British miniature terret, an Early Saxon fragment of Cruciform brooch, a Late Saxon/medieval sub-circular mount, a medieval dagger pommel and probably medieval lozengiform unidentified object, and a post-medieval belt mount.

Romano-British miniature terret, bracelet; Early Saxon cruciform brooch; Late Saxon or medieval sub-circular mount (S1); medieval buckle, strap plate, harness mount, dagger pommel; post-medieval hooked belt mount.
