Map

June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several undated linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2)
on land to the north and west of Horsford Castle, centred on TG 2022 1566. A lattice work of features in the northwest corner of the area has not been mapped as it is likely that these are modern drainage ditches, many of which are visible as open earthworks (S1).
One north-south linear ditch, which runs from TG 2021 1570 to TG 2024 1551 appears to be a continuation of a field division visible in the field to the north on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map (S3), and may represent a post medieval field boundary. The others are on a different alignment, and are of unknown date.
E. Bales (NMP), June 2010.
