Full Description
June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several probable medieval to post medieval field boundaries and two or more possible enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the north of Lower Farm, Horsham St Faith and Newton St Faith, centred on TG 2114 1593.
Some of the features appear to correspond with, or be extensions of field boundaries on the tithe map (S3).
One possible enclosure, centred on TG 2121 1592, which measures at least 136m x 76m, and appears to exhibit some internal divisions, may in fact relate to a farmstead visible in the area on Faden’s Map of Norfolk (S4).
E. Bales (NMP), June 2010.
