Summary

A possible earthwork ditched enclosure, and linear bank are visible on aerial photographs on land to the west of Norwich Road, Horsham St Faith and Newton St Faith. The features are of dubious archaeological origin, however, since they may be part of the extensive post medieval drainage systems in the area, or may possibly be natural features.

Map

June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A possible earthwork ditched enclosure and linear bank are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the west of Norwich Road, Horsham St Faith and Newton St Faith, centred on TG 2517 1546. The features are of dubious archaeological origin, however, since they may be part of the extensive post medieval drainage systems in the area, or may possibly be natural features, as there are a number of natural undulations in the area.
A possible enclosure, 170m to the north, recorded as NMR TG 21 NW 35, appears to be caused by a former tree line (S1).
E. Bales (NMP), June 2010.
