Summary

A Bronze Age barrow, part of a larger group of barrows known as the 'Seven Hills'. Tutt is reputed to be a local shepherd who was hanged on the barrow for helping the Danes attack Thetford, an interesting reminder of the powerful associations with death and community that barrows continued to hold throughout the Saxon, medieval and post medieval periods.
