Full Description
July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The site of a World War Two earthen-covered semi-sunken air raid shelter and a probably Air Raid Precautions (ARP) warden’s post is visible on aerial photographs in-between Barrett Road and Arnold Miller Road alongside Long John Hill, Norwich (S1-S2), centred on TG 2362 0651. This warden’s post is likely to relate to one recorded by Joan Banger as (Post D3) at ‘Long John Hill’ (S3), although see NHER 53381 for another nearby post warden’s post.
S. Horlock (NMP), 01 July 2010.
