Summary

The site of a World War Two road block and checkpoint is visible on aerial photographs on the Stoke Road over the River Wensum, Norwich. The road block, consisted of a set of sockets for bent pins, vertical rails or similar barriers, set into road surface.

The site of a World War Two road block and checkpoint is visible on aerial photographs on the Stoke Road over the River Wensum, Norwich (S1-S2). The road block, which is centred on TG 2373 0603, consisted of a set of sockets for bent pins, vertical rails or similar barriers, set into road surface.
