Summary

The site of a possible World War Two pillbox overlooking the River Wensum to the west of Trowse Newton is visible on aerial photographs. The structure appeared to be broadly hexagonal in shape and therefore may relate to a former type 22 or 24 type pillbox, but could not be clearly discerned with enough clarity to be certain. The structure had been demolished by 1945.
