Summary

The site of a possible World War Two gun emplacement or bomb crater is visible on aerial photographs to the north of Bracondale, Norwich. The site consists of a circular pit surrounded by a penannular embankment. Whilst it is possible that this represent the remains of a gun emplacement, the seemingly non-strategic position could indicate that it is merely a bomb crater surrounded by upcast material from the impact.
