Summary

The site of a large area of World War Two air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs within the grounds of a school on Telegraph Lane East, Norwich. The shelters are sub-surface and are indicated by at least twelve rectangular entrances leading down into the sub-surface area. Some of these entrances still appear to be open as late as January 1946.

The site of a large area of World War Two air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs within the grounds of a school on Telegraph Lane East, Norwich (S1-S2), centred on TG 2442 0857. The shelters are sub-surface and are indicated by at least twelve rectangular entrances leading down into the sub-surface area. Some of these entrances still appear to be open as late as January 1946 (S2).
