Summary

A possible trackway of unknown date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It has a sinuous outline which could reflect a natural rather than man-made origin. It widens towards its northeastern end where it meets Church Lane; its southern extent is difficult to trace as the crop in this area is unresponsive. Its date is uncertain, and a relatively recent origin (as a track for agricultural vehicles, for example) cannot be ruled out. At the same time, it could be associated in some way with the postulated trackway recorded 85m to its north (NHER 9595), although this may itself be a recently removed field boundary.

A possible trackway of unknown date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1), between TG 2072 0555 and TG 2069 0549. It has a sinuous outline which could reflect a natural rather than man-made origin. It widens towards its northeastern end where it meets Church Lane; its southern extent is difficult to trace as the crop in this area is unresponsive. Its date is uncertain, and a relatively recent origin (as a track for agricultural vehicles, for example) cannot be ruled out; its northeastern end meets Church Lane directly opposite a modern track across Eaton golf course, which reinforces this impression. At the same time, it could be associated in some way with the postulated trackway recorded 85m to its north (part of NHER 9595), although this may itself be a recently removed field boundary.
