A World War Two underground air raid shelter, emergency water tank and a possible Air Raid Precaution warden’s post are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S4) to the north of Cowgate Street, Norwich.
They are centred on TG 2336 0944. The emergency water tank measures 7.5m in diameter, and the possible Air Raid Precaution post may be that described as Air Raid Precaution post ‘M3’, Charlton Road in ‘Norwich at War’ (S5).
