Full Description
June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two ARP warden’s post – Post B6: Mousehold Avenue Infants’ School – is recorded at this location in a bibliographic source (S1). It probably equates to a small rectangular concrete structure visible on 1940s aerial photographs (S2)-(S3), centred at TG 2393 0992. The structure is similar to those recorded at the location of other ARP posts across the city, although the possibility that this is instead a surface air raid shelter, provided for pupils and staff at the school, cannot be ruled out.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 21 June 2010.
