Summary

The timber constructed station was opened in October 1884 and in 1886 was replaced by an Eastern & Midlands Railway pavilion type structure in brick, which was destroyed by fire in 1926 and closed in 1964. In 2010, a signal box was restored and installed at Holt Station, to work at this stop on the Poppy Line heritage railway.

The station was opened in October 1884 and comprised a timber construction with a platform of sleepers. In 1886 this first station was replaced by an Eastern & Midlands Railway pavilion type structure in brick, which was destroyed by fire in 1926 and closed in 1964.
