Full Description
July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A short section of broad ditch of unknown but possible World War Two or early modern date on meadow to the west of Whitlingham Lane, Trowse Newton, is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 2466 0693. The archaeological significance of this earthwork is uncertain. It is feasible that it relates to a World War Two trench or an early modern feature, such as a saw pit.
S. Horlock (NMP), 01 July 2010.
