Full Description
September 2009. Historic building survey.
The school is described as a mixed public elementary school that was built in 1879 in Kelly's 1925 Directory of Norfolk (S1). The school is a two storey brick building with a tile roof and a t-shaped plan. The porch is an elaborate mix of a Romanesque style doorway, Gothic style buttresses and elaborate brick dentling. The school house is probably contemporary with the school and is now linked to it by a 1990's block. The school probably originally consisted of two rooms with one large school room and a separate room for infant classes.
