Map

June 2009. Historic building recording.
The school was built in 1877 and was enlarged 1889 to hold 148 children. The attached teacher's house appears to be contemporary with the main school building. The building is constructed from red brick with brick plinths and red brick dentil course under the eaves and stone lintels and quoins on the porch and decorative buttresses to the main gable end. The style is mostly functional with Gothic features such as the central porch and large window on the gable end.
